Rock Band 2 has augmented our home entertainment, thanks to the yearly raffle that Sarah won, and unleashed the inner rock star in both of us. So go on indulge yourself or come join us and rock out!

Happy 30th Birthday, Brian!

Today's the day - Brian is 30 years old.

He's actually handling it with style. We will celebrate at the Fat Canary, our favorite restaurant in Williamsburg, and talk about what a 30rd year-old does that a 29 year-old can't.

Don't worry, Brian is still young at heart -
my husband is asking for Rock Band II, Pixar movies and board games.

Summer Plans

I thought you all might enjoy a quick update of our summer plans...

Brian has sucessfully completed his first year of his William & Mary MBA, and he has re-entered the working world. After chasing numerous leads, he landed an amazing internship at THQ for the summer. THQ is a large game-publisher and he is going to be exposed to the finance and product development side of the business. He is more than excited! And for two months he is going to trade the Virginia humidity for the California sunshine. Really, it's two adventures in one! (Yes, he's very upset for leaving the wife in VA! Or he better be...)

Sarah:

You guessed it! I am working in Virginia. I absolutely love my job at Lumber Liquidators. It's a great team, and I am right in the middle of the efforts to take the Company public.

It's great experience, challenging and fun.

The sand under our feet, the flowers on the arbor, the waves crashing into the rocks, the bride and groom looked fabulous. Aunt Barbara performed an amazing ceremony.



The Mexican food was an amazing dinner, the open bar was everything it should be, and the villa was a perfect backdrop for it all.


Everyone was all smiles - especially, Mr. & Mrs. Masury!

The DJ played a great variety of music, and it was fun to dance in the wading part of the pool.
And to top it off, as the sun was setting...a pair of dolphins were swimming in front of us all.

Honeymoon...

This is kind of a teaser, but there are more details being collected to get you all up to speed on the wonderful adventure that we embarked upon to Honduras! For now I'll leave you with a picture from our first night in Honduras.

Hi Wife...Hi Husband

The rumor is true, we're married! It has been a wonderful journey as a dating couple, but I am happy to say that I am married to a wonderful woman! And we'll just assume she thinks the same about me too.

It has been a wonderful transition, but it is still strange to see Sarah and say "hi" to my wife especially when I say "hi wife" and get the response of "hi husband." Now without further adieu here is a few pictures of the perfect night and day!




By the way, I just recently found a few pictures of the afternoon with the wedding party. My best man found my phone in the car and took a few pictures of the boys!

Working Woman

We arrived in Williamsburg in the middle of August, and it took until the middle of November for me to find work. It was worth waiting for. I started working for Smithfield Foods in the corporate accounting group. There is a lot to learn, so I'm excited for the opportunity.

What is Smithfield Foods? ...only the world's largest pork processor and hog producer with revenues over $11 billion in fiscal 2006. The vocabulary here is quiet different than the biotech world, but it will be interesting to learn a new industry.

So, if you're looking for me during the week...you'll find me in Smithfield, Virginia. The home of "Hams, History and Hospitality" and known as the "Ham Capital of the World." It's a cute, little southern town.

The commute...from Williamsburg, I drive into Jamestown and take the Jamestown-Scotland ferry across the James River. It's a 20 minute, free ferry ride and my commute is opposite the majority of people, so I haven't had to miss a ferry. Then it's about a half an hour through the Virginia country side before arriving at work. I drive past cotton and soybean fields, cows and small towns. I started working in the height of a beautiful fall, so the trees were gorgeous. I'm excited to see how the landscape changes as we progress through the seasons.
